Charity Tea Gathering 2016
- The Changes of Autumn -

Special Exhibition : Ceramic Works by       Dr. Iskandar Jalil

We are pleased to announce the annual charity tea gathering and the special exhibition to celebrate SJ50. The exhibition will feature ceramic works created by Dr Iskandar Jalil, Singapore’s foremost master potter. Participants of all ages will enjoy the superb art and three different styles of tea ceremony in the ambience of autumn.  

Dr. Iskandar Jalil

A highly regarded local ceramist. Apprenticed and trained in Japan in the ‘70s. His works integrate Japanese discipline and philosophy with Southeast Asian art. He was awarded the Cultural Medallion Award for Visual Arts in 1988, the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation Award in 2014, the Order of the Rising Sun Gold Rays with Rosette in 2015 and many others.


Date & Time:   2 October (Sun) 10:00am - 4:00pm  (Reception 9:30am – 3:00pm 

Venue:              Level 2 Ballroom, The Japanese Association, Singapore

                         120 Adam Road

Admission:     $20 (to be paid on the day at the venue

                         The proceeds will be donated to the Straits Times School Pocket Money    

                         Fund through the Japanese Association, Singapore.
